Already saved
When you save a link you already have, scrollandlearn opens the lesson you made before instead of making a second one. It does not use another credit.
What you see
- In the app, the lesson opens with a message such as Already saved in Cooking, 18 Oct.
- From the iPhone Shortcut, the message says Already saved: and the lesson's title.
- From the browser extension, the label says Already saved with the topic and the date.
The same post is recognised in its different shapes: a link with tracking added by the Share button, a short youtu.be link and the full YouTube address, a tweet from its photo. A link that is still being made into a lesson counts as saved too, so a second tap does not start it twice.
When a second copy is made
- The first try did not become a lesson, for example it needed an upload or found too little to read. Saving it again is a new try.
- You deleted the lesson. Saving the link again makes a new one.
- A note, a quote or a selected passage. These are never checked, so saving one twice makes two cards.
An article saved with the extension is matched on its exact address. A quote or a passage you saved from the same page does not stop you from saving the whole article.
