Upload the video instead

When we can't open a post, or it is a video without captions, its lesson says We couldn't read this one. If you have the video, upload it there and the lesson is made from what is said in it.

Why it happens

  • The post is private, so we can't open it.
  • The post was deleted, or the link no longer works.
  • The video has no captions and its description is too short for a lesson.

Upload it

  1. Have the file on your device: a video you made, or one you saved from the app it came from.
  2. Open the link in scrollandlearn. You find it under Recently added on Topics, or on Everything.
  3. Tap Upload the video and choose the file. Video and audio both work, such as MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, M4A and WAV.
  4. We transcribe it and write the lesson in its place. You can leave while it works.

Good to know

  • The transcription uses minutes from your plan for the month. See Plan and usage.
  • A file too large to upload is refused with a message, and no lesson is made from it.
  • No video at hand? Tap Remove. The link used none of your lessons.
A voice memo or a file of your own You can also start from a file directly. See Upload a video or audio file.
