How scrollandlearn works

You save something you want to remember, scrollandlearn writes a short lesson from it, files it under a topic and brings it back as a quiz question until it sticks.

From a post to a lesson

  1. Save a post. On a phone, tap the yellow Add and paste its link, or share it from the other app. On a computer, click Add at the top or press N.
  2. We read what the post holds: its captions, its transcript or its text. A voice memo or a video file is transcribed. When there is nothing to read, no lesson is made up.
  3. A short lesson is written: the core idea, the key points, one line to Remember this and a question for the quiz. It goes into the topic it fits, or starts a new one.
  4. 2 days later its question shows up in Today's quiz on Topics. Tap Show answer and grade yourself.

Why the quiz

Each grade decides when the lesson comes back. Forgot brings it back tomorrow, Kind of in 4 days and Knew it in 14 days, and every Knew it after that waits longer. How review days work has the whole rule.

Where things are

  • On a phone: Topics, Progress and You at the bottom, and the yellow Add to the right of them.
  • On a computer: Everything, Topics and Quiz next to the search field at the top, then the yellow Add. The narrow bar on the left holds Home, Milestones, the theme, the grid size, Shortcuts and your initial (You), which opens your library and account.
Start with the examples A new library opens with a topic called Start here, with four examples and short guides. See Start here examples.
