Record a voice memo
Type / in Add and pick Voice memo. Speak, tap Stop, then Make lesson: what you said is transcribed and becomes a lesson. A memo stops by itself after 10 minutes.
Record
- Open Add, type / and pick Voice memo.
- Allow the microphone when your browser asks. The field shows Recording and a timer.
- Tap the stop button when you are done. The label shows Voice memo with its length and 1 credit per 30 min.
- Tap Make lesson. Record again starts over, and the X removes the memo.
What happens next
The memo is transcribed on our side and the lesson is written from your words, then filed under a topic. It uses 1 credit, 1 per started 30 minutes of a longer memo, and the minutes of the recording from your transcription minutes. See Plans and limits.
A recording with no words we can hear does not become a lesson.
If recording does not start
If the field says Recording is not supported in this browser. Upload an audio file instead., your browser cannot record here. Record in your phone's voice memo app instead, then upload the file with Video file from the / menu, which takes audio files too. See Upload a video or audio file.
If it says the microphone was blocked, allow the microphone for scrollandlearn.app in your browser's settings and try again.
