Keyboard shortcuts

On a computer, scrollandlearn has keys for search, Add, the quiz and moving between lessons. Click Shortcuts in the left bar to see them all at once, next to the search operators.

Everywhere in the app

  • Search: / or Cmd K
  • Add a note: N
  • Paste a link anywhere: Cmd V
  • Next or previous lesson: J, K
  • Start the quiz: Q
  • Close: Esc

On Windows and other computers, press Ctrl where a Mac uses Cmd. The Shortcuts list shows the right one for your computer.

While you type in a field, the keys are the field's: only Cmd K and Esc still work. Pasting outside a field sends what you pasted to Add.

In a lesson, a quiz and Add

  • In an open lesson, J and K step to the next and previous lesson in the order of the page you opened it from, and Esc closes it.
  • In a full-screen quiz, Space shows the answer, 1, 2 and 3 grade Forgot, Kind of and Knew it, and Esc closes it.
  • In Add, Enter saves a link or a picture, and Cmd Enter saves anything you typed, a note included.
  • In the search field, the down arrow moves to the chips under it.
On an iPad with a keyboard The keys work there too. The left bar with Shortcuts appears once the window is wide enough.
