Write a note
Type straight into Add. A note under 300 characters is kept as a note card, and a note of 300 characters or more becomes a lesson made from your own words.
Short notes
While you type, the label under the field says Note with kept as a note. Tap Save note. On a keyboard, Enter starts a new line and Cmd Enter (Ctrl Enter on Windows) saves. The note shows as a card on Everything.
A note card never uses a credit, and it is saved even when this month's credits are used.
Long notes become lessons
Once the text reaches 300 characters, the label changes to Note with the count, for example Note, 412 characters, and becomes a lesson. The button turns into Make lesson. The lesson is written from your text and filed under a topic like any other, and it uses 1 credit.
Headings, lists and checklists
Type / and pick Heading, List or Checklist under Write. The line you are on gets its mark. You can also type the marks yourself: # and a space for a heading, - and a space for a list item, - [ ] and a space for a checklist item.
In a list or checklist, Enter starts the next item. Enter on an empty item ends the list.
