How review days work

A lesson comes back for its first quiz 2 days after you save it. After that, the grade you give it decides when it comes back next: the better you knew it, the longer it stays away.

What each grade does

  • Forgot brings the lesson back tomorrow and starts it over from the beginning.
  • Kind of brings it back in 4 days and keeps the progress it has made so far.
  • Knew it brings it back in 14 days the first time. Each Knew it in a row stretches the gap, to 35, 88 and 219 days, then a year.

Each grade button says when the lesson will return, for example In 2 weeks under Knew it, so you see what a grade does before you tap it.

How a day is filled

Today's quiz holds at most 5 lessons, the ones that have waited longest first. When more are due, the rest come over the next days, up to 5 a day, so a week away never turns into a pile.

If you grade the same lesson again on the same day, for example in Quiz this topic after today's quiz, the second grade counts from where the lesson stood that morning. Two Knew it answers on one day count as one. A Forgot still starts the lesson over.

Where you see the day

Open a lesson and the line under its saved date says In today's quiz, or First quiz or Next quiz followed by the day it comes back.

Lessons in Unsorted wait A lesson still in Unsorted never comes back for a quiz on its own. Move it into a topic and it gets its days like any other.
