Your free lessons
Your first 10 lessons are free and need no card. On Plans, choose Continue as guest to start with them, then pick a plan when they are used. Starter is $19.99 a month.
What uses a free lesson
A free lesson is used when a lesson is made: from a link, a long note, a photo with words, a voice memo, a video file or a page saved with the extension. A video or podcast over 30 minutes uses 1 free lesson per started 30 minutes, so an episode of 2 h 14 min uses 5.
- Short notes and quotes are cards, so they use none.
- The examples and guides in Start here came with your account and use none.
- A link that makes no lesson (no words to read, a private post, an error) uses none.
- Every save that could make a lesson still counts as a try. After 20 tries the free lessons end, even if fewer lessons were made.
How many are left
Open You on a phone, or your initial at the bottom of the left bar on a computer. The Guest card shows a line such as "7 of 10 free lessons left" and a See plans button.
When they are used
Links you save after that are kept and wait, marked Waiting for a plan, up to 10 of them. Open one and tap Get Starter, and its lesson is made the moment your plan starts. Notes and quotes still save as before. A voice memo, a video file, a photo or a long note asks you to pick a plan first.
