What you can save
You can save links from the social networks we read, your own notes and quotes, photos, voice memos, video or audio files, and, with the browser extension, any web page. Most become lessons; short notes, quotes and photos without words stay as cards.
What becomes a lesson
- A link to a post on one of the sites in Which sites work. Add shows the kind of post under the field, with becomes a lesson for a text post and 1 credit per 30 min for a video or a podcast.
- A note of 300 characters or more. Add counts the characters as you type.
- A photo with 300 characters or more of printed words, such as a slide, a page or a screenshot. The words are read, the picture is not described. A note you type under the photo becomes its My takeaway.
- A voice memo or a video or audio file. Type / in Add and choose Voice memo or Video file. It is transcribed on our server.
- On Creator and Power, a whole collection from YouTube, TikTok or Instagram: a playlist, channel or profile, and on Power also from Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, Spotify or Apple Podcasts. Paste its link, or type / in Add and choose Playlist or profile. Add shows what it holds first; each post becomes its own lesson, up to 25 at once on Creator and 100 on Power. A playlist is saved from its start, an X profile gives its top posts, not its newest, and the rest come newest first. See Save a whole playlist or profile.
- A web page you are reading, saved with the browser extension.
What stays a card
- A note shorter than 300 characters. Add says kept as a note.
- A quote in quotation marks. Add says kept as a quote, or by and the name when you add who said it.
- A photo with fewer words, or one you save with Just save it. A note you type under it becomes the card's title, and search finds the words on it.
Cards sit in your topics next to lessons and never use a credit or a free lesson. Topics, lessons and cards explains the difference.
What does not work
A link from any other site is not saved from Add: the field marks it not supported yet. On a computer, open the page and save it with the extension instead. See Site not supported.
