Topics, lessons and cards

A lesson is what scrollandlearn writes from something you saved. A card is a short note, a quote or a photo that stays as you saved it. A topic is a shelf that holds both, and it is made for you.

Lessons

A lesson has a title, the core idea, the key points, one marked line to Remember this, often something to try, and the question it asks in the quiz. The source is one tap away. Each lesson uses 1 credit of your plan's month, or one of your free lessons; a video or podcast over 30 minutes uses 1 per started 30 minutes.

Cards

Cards are things you want to keep but not turn into a lesson: a note under 300 characters, a quote, or a photo with few words or saved with Just save it. A card is never rewritten and never uses a lesson. A quote card comes back in the quiz and asks how it ends.

Topics

Every new lesson goes into the topic it fits, or starts a new one, so you never sort anything. If one lands in the wrong place, open it and tap Change next to its topic. A topic with a few lessons gets The big picture, one summary of everything in it.

Too many small topics? When small topics pile up, scrollandlearn suggests grouping them. See Group small topics.
